In 2014 Seastar Survey Ltd. developed and implemented scuba-diving monitoring methodology to establish and collect baseline data for previously surveyed habitats at Flamborough Head for future condition monitoring. Contract involved planning, method development, diving, analysis and reporting.

Salcombe to Kingsbridge Estuary SSSI: Condition Assessment

In 2014 Seastar Survey Ltd. developed and implemented a scuba-diving monitoring methodology to establish and collect baseline data for previously surveyed habitats in the Salcombe Estuary for future condition monitoring surveys. Contract involved planning, method development, diving, analysis and reporting.

Fal and Helford SAC Diving Survey

In 2013 Seastar Survey Ltd. developed and implemented scuba-diving monitoring methodology followed by a diver based survey of the maerl beds within the Fal and Helford SAC to establish the health of the beds. Techniques included video transect swims, quadrat assessments, still photography and in-situ identification of fauna and flora. Other tasks included the analysis and interpretation of the results and supply of detailed report and GIS.

Isles of Scilly Complex SAC: Reef Condition Assessment

In 2013 Seastar Survey Ltd. developed and implemented scuba-diving monitoring methodology to establish and collect baseline data for SAC reef sub-features (vertical wall and kelp forest communities). Techniques included video transect swims, quadrat assessments, still photography and in-situ identification of fauna and flora. Other tasks included the analysis and interpretation of the results and supply of a detailed report and GIS.

Survey and Monitoring of Seagrass Beds, Studland Bay, Dorset
The Crown Estate – SV Mariner
From 2009 to 2012 Seastar Survey Ltd. completed scientific diving monitoring surveys collecting data to investigate the potential impact of anchoring on the seagrass habitat at Studland Bay. The project involved a drop-down video survey followed by bi-annual scientific scuba-diving surveys over three years ending with statistical analysis and report writing.

In 2010 Seastar Survey Ltd. undertook scientific diving to identify discrete Priority Marine Features within the Clyde Sea (Clyde Sea, Loch Long and Loch Fyne) area.
