All of the images below were taken by SeaStar Survey from our in-house survey vessel Mariner, during the Eddystone Reef habitat mapping survey conducted for English Nature (underwater photography completed during January 2006). The camera was mounted on a specially developed deployment frame that was 'flown' above the seabed by careful control of Mariner's winch. Real time video was viewed and recorded in the wheel house, which greatly aided the survey team's control of the digital still camera.
